Vein Treatment Types

Endovenous Laser Therapy

The most advanced alternative to surgical stripping to treat varicose veins. This laser therapy is covered by most insurance and involves a thin laser fiber which is inserted into the diseased vein, usually through a tiny puncture in the leg above where the visual symptoms appear.

Dr. Z then delivers laser energy through the fiber which causes the vein to close as the fiber is gradually removed. Endovenous laser therapy can usually be performed in less than one hour right here at Varis Vein Institute, and the patient is encouraged to walk immediately following the procedure.

Used primarily for smaller varicose veins and spider veins, Sclerotherapy involves no anesthesia and also can be performed in our offices. In this treatment Dr. Z injects a small amount of liquid into the diseased vein which closes it off. Because there are many veins in the leg, the blood that would have flowed through the closed vein simply flows through other healthy veins after the procedure. The loss of the diseased vein is not a problem for the circulatory system.

Ambulatory Phlebectomy

Historically, the only treatment for large varicose veins has been to surgically remove or 'strip' the vein from the body. Performed in an operating room, under anesthesia, Surgically stripping the vein requires a considerable recovery period for the patient.

Ambulatory phlembectomy is a modified version of stripping that uses multiple incisions that hook and remove the vein one portion at a time. More incisions are made than in standard vein stripping, but the damage to the leg and post-surgery recovery time are minimized.

Face Treatment Types

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma)

PRP is your own platelets and plasma. A small amount of blood is drawn, and then plasma and platelets are separated and concentrated by centrifuge. This results in higher than normal platelets.

Botox & Xeomin

Botox and Xeomin are muscle relaxants. They are used to treat wrinkles. They are the most popular cosmetic procedures worldwide and requite no recovery time. The satisfaction rate is close to 98%. Muscles are selectively relaxed to soften unwanted facial lines and wrinkles of the forehead, eyes and eyebrows.
